Family Movie Night Featuring: Hocus Pocus

**90 Days til Disney!**
Down to double digits, ahhh!
In case you're just tuning in or if you haven't caught on yet, part of our countdown to Disney is a family movie night. Approximately every 10 days we watch a movie, eat a meal, and do an activity surrounding a specific Disney movie. Day 90 or thereabouts fell just a day after Halloween so what better movie to watch than Hocus Pocus. I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter how old you are, unless you've been living under a rock for the last 22 years, you're familiar with the Sanderson sisters.
Beautiful trio, huh?!
Can you believe that's Sarah Jessica Parker on the left?!

From September to early November, I swear they play this movie on repeat on at least one major tv channel, but that's okay because it's such a good movie. The plot is basically that they've come back after 300 some odd years and they need to suck the life out of the children so the witches can live. It's rated PG but it does have some somewhat scary moments and a lot of SJP's cleavage.

Anyway, onto our movie night. This one was awesome to do; so awesome, in fact, that the Hubby wanted in on it, too. He really got into it and I definitely appreciated his help. Check it out!!

Family Movie Night Featuring: 101 Dalmatians

We're Baaaaaack!!
I had fully intended on posting more over the summer as our trip started to take form but we were just so busy. That's okay...I'm here now! We're getting closer to our trip and my cousin has been hounding me to start the blog back up since I've been posting our movie nights on Facebook. When I began compiling a list for our movie countdown, 101 Dalmatians didn't make the cut. But, then I saw someone online had used this movie at day 101...so here we are...

**101 Days til Disney!**

Other than at All-Star Movies Resort (below), the multitude of spotted dogs don't have much of a presence at WDW but I just loved the idea of doing 101 on day 101.

I've never stayed here and just pulled this image from Google.

Since I decided to show this movie somewhat last minute (and we live a solid 30 minutes
from any major store), I wasn't able to get much in the way of decorations. I think we pretty well made do with what we had. Last year I designed and printed our menus myself. They weren't beautiful but they worked. This time around I've requested the assitance of my aunt who happens to be a graphic designer. I'm trying to convince her to start an Etsy shop; maybe this will help!

A basic Pinterest search helped me with what to put on the menu.
Who doesn't like breakfast for dinner, anyway?!

Personalized Movie Tickets!

Since this was sort-of last minute to use this movie,
our set up was pretty basic. We stuck with the red, white and black theming.

My Mickey & Minnie containers came in handy!

I'm pretty proud of myself for drawing and putting together the craft!
A dog looks a lot like Mickey initially!

I'm so excited to start our countdown again. We're actually a bit closer to our trip than 101 days but I promise we actually did this movie night on day 101. I look forward to sharing with you all of our other nights...I'll give you a hint for the next one: it was the day after Halloween!

See ya real soon!

Holy Hiatus Batman!

I've been MIA for a very long time, almost a year. It makes me super sad! I loved blogging and did it almost religiously when we were preparing for our Disney trip in September 2013. However, shortly before we left, my laptop pooped out on me and I wasn't able get on much as it was a pain from my phone and I couldn't very well do it from work. But noooooow, I have a laptop at home again.  Yay!

I look forward to posting more because guess what...we're almost 180 days out from our next Disney Trip! We're going the first week of February to celebrate Lil's 5th birthday. I can't believe my baby will be 5 but I'm so looking forward to our time together at Walt Disney World! As I prepare, I'll be posting photos and short details from our previous trip, along with our new countdowns. I'm excited to share with you all of our wonderful Disney Movie Nights and the fun stuff I've been planning!

Please check back often as I will be starting to post next week!

See ya real soon!

Can't wait to share our memories and all the fantastic things I've been working on!!

Family Movie Night Featuring: THE LITTLE MERMAID

**17 Days til Disney**
OMG!!

I'm right on time; that's a first!! We leave in just over two weeks...that hardly seems possible! I am SO very excited for our vacation. The closer it gets, the more surreal it seems! Our countdown calendar is filling up quite quickly! Isn't it pretty?! My aunt made it for us!

If you look at the title of my blog, you can clearly see that The Little Mermaid is a favorite of mine...and if you haven't, you can read here why it holds a special place in my heart! Even though this was a VERY quick movie night that didn't even entail watching the movie, I certainly can't let these beautiful decorations go unpublished! We've watched the movie a hundred times but somehow couldn't find it when it was time to watch it tonight. I told Lil we would watch it again before we leave for Disney...in 17 days! Actually 16 now, because we're leaving a day early to stay in a hotel before our morning flight. Anyway...here we go!

Under the Sea!!

Used some of Lil's Little Mermaid stuff to decorate, too.

Lil has been sick with a nasty virus and is unable to go to daycare for the next week - she should be better by Disney! My parents kept her today while Husband and I worked. They were having a marvelous meal of Hamburger Helper and Lil wanted to stay and eat. Since we didn't have dinner with her tonight, I wanted to have a special dessert. My cousin had given me some cupcakes this weekend from her daughter's birthday party (that, again, Lil was sick and couldn't attend), so I used one to make this Ariel cupcake:

Super Cute Cupcake!

Whosits and Whatsits Galore!

"King Triton's Trident"

She wanted red for Sebastian!

I love The Little Mermaid. I love everything about it and I'm so very glad that Lil does too. I'm anxious to experience the new LM attractions at Disney World...when we go in, oh 17 days. Can you tell I'm pumped!? Because I am...and I hope that if you're on a countdown you are too! We only have a couple movie nights left and I'm not exactly sure what they will be - I need to figure that out soon! Until then...

See ya real soon!

Family Movie Night Featuring: TOY STORY

**30 Days til Disney!!**

One of the biggest, most popular rides at Disney's Hollywood Studios is Toy Story Mania. There's certainly a lot of hype over Woody and the gang but I've actually never ridden it! I can't wait to give it a try! Along with TSM, Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin at Magic Kingdom is also a ride we'll be checking out.

I set up our own little Pizza Planet in the kitchen for our Toy Story night.
I simply ordered a pizza on special and did some decorating!

Woody & His Gang...pizza and some intergalactic décor!

I made this awesome alien and rocket ship...
I swear Lil can draw better than that Wanted picture!

She LOVED her rocket; she kept spinning around saying, "To infinity, and beyond!"
I actually added red streamers to the bottom to represent the flames...those were cool!

Remember on my last post I said that these next few would be short and sweet. Well, this is it! Sorry there's not more!! I've really cut down on the photo taking...been too busy living! I've definitely noticed that the closer we get to our trip, the lesser our movie nights become. It makes me kind of sad, though I do plan on continuing the movie nights on a monthly basis once we get back. You can bet those will be quite the party!!
Next is The Little Mermaid!!

See ya real soon!

Family Movie Night Featuring: DUMBO

**40 Days til Disney!!**

These next few posts are going to be short and sweet. I want to get all of our movie nights up before we actually leave and in real life, that's a mere 17 days away! I have some catching up to do!

With the new and improved Dumbo attraction at WDW...showing Dumbo during our movie countdown was obvious! I can't wait to see an elephant fly and walk into the big top! To prepare for the evening, I bought some circus snacks and decorations from the Dollar Tree. I already had the popcorn buckets and my boss let me have some balloons!

Our Table Set Up

Hotdogs & Peanuts...and you can see my awesome balloon animal back there!

I gave Lil 5 tickets that she used for balloons, cotton candy, and to play a carnival game.
She won a prize but to be quite honest, I can't remember what it was - ha!!

Yum!

Craft Pom Clown!
I had to draw it because my laptop is having issues.

I look forward to checking out New Fantasyland and seeing as how the Dumbo ride is one of the most iconic rides at Disney, I imagine having twice the flying elephants must be twice as fun!
We will soon find out...up next, Toy Story and The Little Mermaid!

See ya real soon!
